I'll Wear Any Color As Long As It's Black

Pieces from Cara’s senior collection.

One of my best friends in the entire world ever is this crazy b right here. She recently graduated from FIT with a degree in Accessories Design and throughout her time there she created many covetable shoes and bags that hopefully she will let me post pictures of in the future. These two pieces are from her senior collection and they are both amazing in person. The bag is ruffled white leather with white shoulder pad pieces attached to a white bag that is covered in mesh, full of white feathers and has white fringe dangling off the bottom. The shoes are amazing — so Nicholas Kirkwood-esque, but without being derivative at all. Her design ideas are completely out there, but totally in line with modern avant-garde trends. I don’t think it will be too long before she is scooped up by some important label and bloggers everywhere are posting about how desperately they wish they could acquire her shoes . . . hopefully my bff status will get me a free pair or two . . .

YES, they are AMAZING IN PERSON. She is so talented, her sketches are CRAZY but in a good way. I can’t wait til she starts making shoes for real so I can find a way to steal them!

i’ve made clothes for years..but i never wound up going to fashion school. i found that people didn’t make what i imagined in my head that i wanted to wear. maybe that’s why the only reality show i can watch is project runway..haha. seriously, some of those designers were AMAZING. your friend is obviously very talented, especially in an area that gets so overlooked. i’m tired of seeing tote bags and regular granny bags and i think i own more shoes than anything else…yet i STILL don’t have a pair that really go with my black rats.
