The thing that makes not living in New York hard is my friends. Yesterday I was sitting in Zack’s room, talking about his new book Boring Coke Stories and asking him if he had finished Daniel’s novel. Today, Cara and I are starting our day in the mid-afternoon and getting ready in matching black bathrobes. These are small things, just tiny fragments in the jumble that makes up life. But these are the things that I catch and hold onto, save them up inside myself. These are the things I will remember for years to come and these are the reasons why I know I have to come back here eventually. I waited my whole life for friends like these and there is no way I will give them up.
